MBA Admission Procedure & Requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

Graduates or a professional qualification equivalent to that of University degree recognized by UGC, in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD).

Final year students are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, provided they complete all requirements for the qualifying degree with minimum percentage and CGPA or its equivalent by the specified date. The percentage will be considered based on aggregate marks/CGPA awarded in qualifying degree examinations.

Candidates belonging to the OBC category must submit a photocopy of the category certificate only in the format available on the website:;

OBC Non-creamy layer certificate should have been issued after 31.03.2019 by a competent authority.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD must submit the requisite certificate from a competent authority on prescribed format by Govt. of India at the time of Interview/WAT.


Shortlisting Criteria (for WAT/PI Calls):

Initial shortlisting of candidates, for sending the invitation letters for Interview/WAT shall be done based on their performance in CAT 2019.

Shortlisting criteria also has the following exemptions:

  1. There will a relaxation of 10 percentile for female candidates across all categories for initial shortlisting (For WAT and PI calls).
  2. JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA between 7 & above, but less than 8 (7≥ <8) will be exempted from CAT and will be directly be called for WAT/PI.
  3. JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA  8 and above will be given direct admission.

Selection Procedure:

The final merit for making offers of admission to The program will be based on their aggregate performance in the Written Test (CAT 2019) followed by WAT, Interview, and their Work Experience as per respective weightage is: -


Selection criteria (Weightage)

Selection criteria for JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA between 7 & above but less than 8 (7≥ <8).

Selection criteria for JEE qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA  8 and above.

(a) CAT percentile: 60 %

(b) Written Aptitude Test (WAT): 10%

(b) Written Aptitude Test (WAT): 40%

(c) Personal Interview: 25%

(c) Personal Interview: 55%

(d) Relevant work experience: 5%

Candidates will have to appear for Interview/WAT at respective centers at their own expense. These essential eligibility requirements apply to all categories of candidates, viz. regular, full-time sponsored and foreign candidates. Other conditions for these categories are as follows:


A. Regular Candidates


Final year students of relevant undergraduate programs who have completed the requirements of qualifying examination can also apply. Such candidates will be required to upload a certificate as per the Proforma given in Annexure-1 at the time of Interview/WAT. In case of non-availability of the marks of final examination at the time of the Interview/WAT due to delay in the announcement of their results, candidates may be allowed to appear in the Interview/WAT based on their aggregate results up to a pre-final year in which the percentage should not be less than as specified above under essential requirements. However, they will be required to submit the proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the required percentage or CGPA latest by September 28, 2020.


B. Full-Time Sponsored Candidates


The candidates must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a responsible capacity in a Registered Firm/Company/Industry/Educational and Research Institution/Govt./Quasi Govt./Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. The Firm/Company/Industry shall either be a public sector undertaking or a public limited company registered in a stock exchange or a private concern whose annual turnover during the past two years exceeds Rs. 5 crores. Educational institutions should be recognized by AICTE.

Number of Seats:

The number of seats available in the MBA Program is presently 95.
